For the Broward College project encompassing Maintenance Shop Renovations in Building 25, Vehicle Maintenance Shop Renovations in Building 32, and the demolition of Building 14, executive-level oversight was provided throughout all phases of preconstruction, construction management, and project closeout. Responsibilities included leadership of comprehensive preconstruction services to ensure alignment of project scope, institutional requirements, budget constraints, and overall execution strategy.
Detailed cost estimating was performed and maintained throughout the preconstruction phase, including development of conceptual and final estimates, scope validation, and value engineering analyses to support accurate budgeting and informed decision-making. Logistics planning was implemented to coordinate multiple concurrent scopes of work across occupied campus facilities, ensuring safe site access, efficient material staging, and minimal disruption to ongoing college operations.
Client contract negotiations were managed to establish clearly defined scopes of work, contractual obligations, and risk allocation in accordance with public procurement requirements and institutional standards. Subcontractor and vendor procurement processes included competitive solicitation, bid evaluation, scope leveling, and execution of trade agreements to ensure cost-effective and compliant project delivery.
During construction, continuous budget control and financial oversight were maintained, including cost tracking, forecasting, and implementation of corrective measures to ensure adherence to approved funding parameters. The operations team was directed to ensure coordinated field execution, schedule compliance, and effective resolution of site-specific challenges.
The project was successfully delivered through disciplined preconstruction planning, structured procurement, and comprehensive cost and operations management, resulting in the completion of multiple facility improvements and demolition work in support of Broward College’s infrastructure needs.
